There’s a broad distinction between permissive and restrictive/copyleft software licenses:
Permissive: (commercial) use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.
Examples of TU Delft approved permissive licenses: MIT, BSD, Apache, CC0
Restrictive/Copyleft: GPL, AGPL, LGPL, EUPL (slide 3)
